Janine Davidson 1 ★ 2023-12-20BUYER BEWARE!!! My husband purchased a $700 gold necklace for my birthday, keeping the receipt as he wasn't sure whether it would fit. It didn't fit, and looked cheaply made. I phoned the shop who attempted to tell me that I was not allowed a refund, as the shop policy was to exchange for other store items. When I pointed out that the law of the land said, different, the saleswoman became rude. It was sent away to prove it is of the same quality as when purchased. I have now been reinbursed. The question that remains is: if I hadn't known my rights, would I have taken store credit because the store did not give clear and honest information about returning goods?
