I love this branch of Prouds! Their staff are genuinely warm and friendly, knowledgeable, experienced and a pleasure to be served by! Their sales and discounts are great and the quality of their jewellery is excellent. The extra services they also offer are a lovely surprise too. recently visited this shop looking for a silver item. When I inquired, the lady at the counter asked for my ID and said it was part of store policy. I was taken aback, as this was the first time Iu2019d encountered such a request when making a purchase. The way she asked, with an arrogant tone, left me confused and uncomfortable, so I decided not to provide my ID and simply left the store.nnLater, I returned to clarify the policy. Another employee showed me the written guidelines and explained that, just like when you buy a car, ID is required. I replied that providing ID makes sense when youu2019re taking out a loan for a car, but in my case, I was ready to buy the item outright. The staff further explained that they ask for identification, especially when customers are interested in higher-value products, to prevent theft. I understood this reasoning.nnHowever, what truly disappointed me was the unprofessional way the staff interacted with customers. They lacked basic courtesy and customer service skills, and their attitude made me feel unwelcome. Instead of assisting customers, the staff seemed more interested in chatting and gossiping with each other. Itu2019s no surprise the shop was so quietu2014this kind of service drives people away.nnI strongly believe the management needs to address these issues and provide proper customer service training to their staff. Professionalism and politeness should be a priority. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning to this shop, and I hope my feedback encourages improvements that will benefit both customers and the business.nnThank you.
